Byron Jamal Xenos Wilson, 27, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2023. Byron was born on February 7, 1996, in Springfield, Ohio, to Ruth Ann Sims and Kenneth Wilson.

Byron was a passionate and creative cook, and he loved his job at Chipotle, where he could share his love for food with others. He was also an avid sports fan, and he had a special place in his heart for the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Byron was preceded in death by his father; Kenneth Wilson, maternal grandmother; Mary Gray, maternal grandfather; Thomas Dudley, paternal grandfather; Walter McNeil.

He will be deeply missed by his mother; Ruth Ann Sims, two daughters; Denver Wilson and Dilyan Pope, paternal grandmother; Kim Wilson Bailey, ten siblings; Janelle Craig, Joshua Watts, Milique Wilson, Symone Wilson, Shavonta Wilson, Bishop Wilson, Marquise Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Kenneth Wilson Jr., Emil Wilson, Mi’Ell Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Dezmond Wilson. Byron also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Visitation for Byron will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Marlan J. Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace East, located at 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd), followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
