Carl William Blake was born on September 20, 1966, in Columbus, OH to the parents of Anita Nowell and Carl W. Blake Sr.
Carl was known for his nickname “Carbee” to his friends and family. Carl attended Columbus Public Schools and was a 1981 graduate of Shawnee High School. Carl was always funny, telling jokes and smiling. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and being outdoors. His favorite rapper was Ice Cube because everyone would mention they looked exactly alike.
In May 2020, Carl resided at Columbus Health Care Nursing Facility until the time of his transition on November 21, 2022.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Blake Sr. and Anita Nowell; sisters, Dorthia Allen and Belinda Blake; and brother, Eric Blake.
Carl leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years, Angela Lopez; sons, Domian Lopez, Domoni Blake, DeAngelo and Donnavan Blake; sisters, Carla Butler, Michele Blake, and Pamela Blake; brother, Clinton L. (Lolita) Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friend.
