Chauncey Thomas was born February 5, 1975 in Charleston, WV to Harry Peck and Iola (Pee Wee) Thomas and departed this earth on August 7, 2019. Chauncey or “Chaunce” was a protector, a loving caring person who would do any and everything for those he loved. He was well known for his frequent “walking excursions “, LOL!!. He was a devoted father who adored all of his children. Most will remember him as
“Lil Chauncey” from Grasmere Ave. Chauncey was one of 3 children, Pee Wee’s only son.
Chauncey is preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Thomas; grandmother , Iola Thomas of Charleston WV; aunt , Mary Rigsbee and beloved mother, Iola Mae (Pee Wee) Thomas of Columbus, Ohio.
Chauncey leaves to cherish his father, Harry (Gaile) Peck, Columbus Ohio, ; 3 loving children, Brent, Lavar and Zai Thomas; sisters, Uvodka Wehrle and Tashawn (Kevin, Jermichael, Jermiah) Thomas of Columbus, Ohio , as well as a host of other siblings; aunts/ uncles, June (Bev) Thomas, Wayne (Jeanetta) Thomas, Yolanda Hill and Dawn (Pootsie) Thomas , all of Charleston , WV, Tracy, Liz, Candy and Cynthia Carpenter of Columbus, Ohio and a host of very close cousins from WV (Love you all) and Ohio including , Tasha, Tanita, Don, Deshawn, Jaime and Brandon Carpenter of Columbus, Ohio; wife Brandy Speakman of Columbus, Ohio
