Cheryl Moncrief, age 64, was born December 19, 1955 and departed this earthly life on August 18, 2020.

Cheryl Ann Moncrief was born December 19, 1955. Her parents Chavez Moncrief and Florence Washington (White) resided on the Southside of Columbus, Ohio at the time of her birth. She later graduated from South High School, class of 1974. For more than 25 years, she was a dedicated child service provider. She was known to many as “Miss Cheryl” at Today’s Child Daycare Center, where she affectionately gave each students a nickname such as “Sugar Bear”, “Roundball” and “Mother Hen.” At an early age, she dedicated her life to Christ at Love Zion Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member on various committees and ministries, such as a church nursery school teacher, usher board and an undefeated birthday tea fundraiser winner.

Outside of church and work, Cheryl always had children over each weekend which included the daycare children, children from church, nieces, nephews, and her granddaughters, who were the loves of her life.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Chavez Moncrief and sister, Claudine Moncrief.

Cheryl will be greatly missed and remembered by her loving children, Dale (Revella) Moncrief, DaNashia and Devin Moncrief; loving granddaughters, Receda and Reigan Moncrief; mother, Florence White; siblings, Michael (Joyce) Moncrief Sr., Linda Moncrief, Harold (Melissa) Moncrief, Apostle Tony Moncrief, and Claudette Moncrief; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, along with numerous family friends, each of whom will miss her deeply.

You have been in Dennym life since he started Today’s Child at 8 months and you because apart of D’essence life 3 years ago when she was 8months. My babies love you to the moon and back.     Miss Cheryl as my children and many others at Love Zion Baptist Church called her shall indeed be missed. I had the pleasure of serving with Cheryl in the nursery back in the day during our time at Love Zion. She was aways thoughtful, caring and loving spirit with the children. The Ziglar Family has such fond and heartfelt memories of time spent with Cheryl. Cheryl was often a blessing to my children and I.
