Christian Davion Slattery

SlatteryChristian

Christian Davion Slattery, affectionately known as “Ooh” was born to Aleasia Revels and Donald Slattery on March 24, 1995, at Grant Hospital.

Christian attended Westerville North High School, and later obtained his GED. He was accepted to the Ohio State Barber College, where he graduated and was board-certified. He was happily employed with Psychobilly Barbershop at the time of his death.

Christian never met a stranger in life. He was the most loyal person one could have ever hoped to know. He was transparent, blunt, and brutally honest, yet he was also a safe haven in which to run. He could hurt your feelings with his brutal honesty in one breath, and in the next instance be ready to console and soothe as only he could. Christian made everyone feel free to express themselves in the rawest manner, being a confidante to many. He was forthcoming in expressing his innermost feelings in helping you to be capable of voicing your deepest emotions without fear of being judged. He was a linguist and had such a way with words and a love of language. One would know this only if you ever had the privilege of hearing one of his freestyles. He loved openly and very hard. Christian prided himself on being available to everyone, no matter the hour. His smile was perfect, and his laugh was contagious, always being the life of the party. Christian’s magnetic personality and charm drew you in like a moth to a flame. And let us never forget his infamous bear hugs that could literally envelop any sorrow. He was a natural born star, a star that shone even brighter once he accepted the calling of Jesus Christ on his life and beginning his servitude with Xenos/Dwell Community Church. With his skeptical nature, he was determined in his seeking the knowledge of God and to know and understand God for himself by questioning, researching, and drawing an intimate portrait of Christ within his heart through personal reflection, group study and application. Christian was exuberant in his proclamation of Christ, ministering to anyone who had an ear. PeriodT. He was such a gift, and to some it may seem like his was a life cut short, but to those that believe, it was a calling complete. Therefore, we count it all joy in the name of Jesus!

Christian transitioned into the arms of his Heavenly Father on September 28, 2021. He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather, Paul E. Palmer Sr.; maternal grandfather, Murray K. Harrison; baby brother, Dallas Kash Revels; paternal grandmother, Gina Pfeiffer; and paternal aunt, Sheri McCoy.

Christian leaves to cherish his precious memories, adoring mom, Aleasia Revels; stepfather, Barlin Revels; biological father, Donald Slattery; siblings, Devon, Kensel, and Phoenix; nephew, Dash Ragan Slattery; maternal grandmother, Angela Harrison; paternal grandfather, Gary Pfeiffer; maternal great-grandmother, Dollie Palmer; maternal aunt, Shemeka Gibson-Peacock; paternal aunts, Heather Slattery-Woods and Kathy Foster; special uncle, Maxamillion Harrison; sisters/cousins Taylor and Alana Gibson; and a plethora of uncles, aunts, cousins, pseudo-brothers, and friends.

Visitation 2:00pm and Funeral 3:00pm Monday, October 11, 2020 at Xenos Christian Fellowship, 1390 Community Park Drive.

  12. I am so sorry to hear of Christian’s passing. I was his ASL teacher at Westerville North. He was such a sweet soul. His sense of humor was something that I looked forward to daily. His laugh was infectious. Even when he was driving me crazy, he’d give me that sideways grin & get me laughing. He came to visit me a couple times after he left school, and I cherish our conversations and the hugs he gave me. I am so sad that the world will not benefit from his presence any longer. I’m sure he’ll have everyone in heaven laughing hysterically.

May the peace that surpasses all understanding may the Lord keep you and your family wrapped in his loving arms at this time

  14. Sending prayers to all of you, for strength, peace, and comfort. I was one of Christian’s math teachers at Westerville North, and remember what a kind, sweet soul he was. His laughter was infectious, and even when he was clowning in class, it was hard to stay mad for long. Christian never knew a stranger – he definitely had a light about him. I know that he had an impact on everyone he met, and I know that he will be missed.
