Deacon Edsel Emanuel Davis, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 26, 2012. Ed was a faithful, lifelong and founding member of Glory Evangelistic Ministries Church where he faithfully served on the deacon board as well as other ministries. Ed attended Columbus East High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Employed by the Federal Government for 25 years, he retired from DSCC in 2006. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edsel A. and Laura J. Davis and brother, Wendell Herman. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and high school sweetheart, JoAnn Davis, daugter, Daneka D. Davis, sons, Pastor G. Jerome (Terrella)DeCarlo II, Daniel D. DeCarlo, brother Terell L. (Becky) Davis, adoring grandchildren, Jerome “JJ” DeCarlo III and Ezra J. DeCarlo, cousin Jean Epps. Special sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Triplett, brothers-in-law, Curtis(Pam)Thomas, Arnold(Margaret)Thomas, Harold(Alice)Thomas. A host of other relatives and friends.
