  9. Tameka and family,
I am so sorry to hear of George’s passing. We had many, many talks over the years and he taught me things about people and had such a positive perspective on life. George had a number of “sayings” and many times I find myself quoting him, always leading with, “as George Dillard would say”. Praying for your family.

    • Thank you! I am so glad you found out about my Dad’s passing. I was trying to figure out how to get in touch with you. He loved you and your family. I was going through one of his Bibles and he had a Christmas card you sent to him back years ago.

George was one of the kindest most gentle men that I ever had the privilege of knowing. He was truly a one of a kind individual! I was impressed by his saying sir and mam to every man and woman that he talked to. God has welcomed George and Valorie in to Heaven as a wonderful addition there!

  13. Tamika, I’m so sorry that you lost both parents so close together. They had been together for so long that God wanted to keep it that way. May they Rest In Peace together. George used to shake my hands on Sunday mornings, and he had such a firm grip that both my hands hurt for at least a week (smile). We all loved George (or Deacon, as they called him in church. May your family know peace in the days ahead.
