I had the great honor of being Dee’s roommate during our freshman year at Denison University in 1976-1977. She was a marvelous individual and friend. We would walk arm and arm across campus for her to get to activities after dark and spent hours laughing together when we should have been studying harder. I think of her often and taught my children a few of her culinary treats, so her memory continues through them. My heart goes out to all of you during this time of sorrow. I’m crying, too.

My heart is heavy just thinking of Sister Delores and her ministry gift!! She brought so much life when she ministered in song and the holy spirit anointing that was on her was obvious when she sang!! We loved her as a Sister and she and Wilbert were a beautiful couple!!

  8. My sister is at peace and in no more pain. I rejoice that she will physically see perfectly in her new body. However I will miss her energy as a true worshipper of God.
May the Lord enfold the family with His love, comfort, and piece.

  9. Delores was such a dear friend of mine. I grew up with her and her family. Always good memories of Macedonia Baptist Church and our participation in the youth choir and the usher board. Since their house was near the church a lifelong friendship developed by all the time we spent together. Even though later years we didn’t see each other our bond never weakened. She will be greatly missed. Love Always Tina(Thomas) Clark and family.
