Edward Nathaniel Lewis Jr.

Edward Lewis jr

Eddie’s earthly journey ended on November 23, 2022 at the age of 79, transitioning into the arms of our Heavenly Father, after fighting a lengthy illness.

He was born in Brentwood, Maryland to the late Edward and Jessie Lewis on March 2, 1943. He later moved with his family to Boston, Massachusetts. After years of construction work, Eddie retired and moved to Mansfield, where he has lived for the past 35 years. Eddie’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He also loved cooking especially BBQ ribs and he thought he was the best cook in the kitchen. Eddie also loved fishing with his buddies and hanging out with his posse, Uncle Dave, Chad, Earl, Chipper, Shane and Cousin Mike.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and caring wife Wanda (Joey) Lewis, daughters Michele (Grady) Higgenbottom, Lisa (Robert) Maloney, Sally and Stephanie Lewis; a sister Claudine Lewis; a brother Darryl Lewis; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, his Mansfield family which includes Bonus daughters Gail Hamilton and family, Johnna (Billy) Sykes and family and numerous family and friends including his posse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Edward (Junie) Lewis, 2 brothers Larry Norwood and Garnet Lewis, 3 sisters Jean Thomas, Carol Cinnelli and Phyllis Lewis, and his first wife and mother of his children Brenda Henry.
