Emma Joyce Ware was born on February 15, 1948 in Care Spring, GA to the late Gladys and Ottis Washington. On May 5, 2022 Emma was called home to be with the Lord.

Emma accepted Christ at a very young age and was later united in holy matrimony on August 25, 1962 to the late John William Ware. They were blessed with 5 wonderful children.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, John William Ware; 2 daughters, Glenda and Jackie Ware; 2 brothers, George and Gene Washington; Carl and Robert Ware; sister-in-law, Louise Ware.

Emma leaves to mourn her 3 children, Joyce Ware, Judy Wharton, and John Ware all of Columbus, OH; 5 sisters, Edna Riley (GA), Faye Allen (GA), Martha Weaver (GA), Mary Dobbins (OH), and Bertha Dobbins (OH); 2 brothers, Eddie (Ella Ruth) Washington (GA) and Larry Washington (GA); 1 brother-in-law, Willie D. Ware; 2 sisters-in-law, Pearlie Daniel (GA) and Eddie Ruth Washington (GA); Goddaughter, Jennifer (Franco) Perkins (GA); 13 grandchildren, Dquinn, Ashley, Andrea, Andre, Adrian, Andrmika, Ronald (Ginger), Jameka, Sytrus, Tyler, John Jr., Jeremiah, Jactica, and Jaitica; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Salvador (Mr. Joe) Valoz, Janotia, Robin, Sandy, and TT; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Emma will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Faith Tabernacle COGIC, 1783 E 23rd Ave.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
