Evangelist Patricia A Watkins

Evangelist Patricia A. Watkins departed this life for her heavenly home on May 16, 2020 at the age of 72. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God gave her peace in the midst of her storm.

Patricia was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. L.C. Brown Sr. She continued her membership at the Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Michael A. Dickerson.

Patricia was a member of the Young Adult Choir, Gospel Choir, and Mass Choir. She also severed on the Kitchen Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, Evangelist Ministry and was the Founder and Leader of “Christina Women’s Fellowship.

Patricia enjoyed going to church, singing in the choir, fishing, sewing and outreach ministry. No matter what was going on in her life she would say: “I Am Blessed and Highly Favored.”

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn (Ivory) Jefferson and Robert Langston; husband, John M. Watkins; son, Jeffrey L. Watkins; brother, Robert Langston; and nephew, James L. Bradley Jr.

Patricia leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughter, Cheryl “Toni” (Rev. Dr. B. Emmanuel( Luther Sr.; grandsons, Jon Penick II and Quintin Langston; sister, Silvia L. Mattox; brothers, Minister Larry S. (Greta) Langston and Michael E. (Faye) Langston; nieces, Denise (Wayne) Walker and Stephanie (Anthony) Williams; nephews, James (Kenya) Reese Jr., Kirk Walker, Christopher Langston, and Joseph (Kara) Langston; aunt, Brenda (Paul) Honaker; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Private Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Mask and Gloves are mandatory.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.

    I was so sorry to hear of the passing Evangelist Pat Watkins. I have so many fond memories of her. She truly loved the Lord and praised Him with every ounce she had in her. I can picture her shouting her way through the gates.

It’s hard to believe that your seat in church will no longer be occupied by you, but the seat that has been chosen for you will be one on the right side of God and the way you run down the aisle, praising the Lord, well sis, what a lovier place can you end up at. I will miss you and prayers will continue to go up for your family. Our ministry of comfort family are so sorry for such a lost. Rest in peace . Evangelist, sleep peacefully.
