George Russell Wiggins, age 64. Born on April 3, 1959, and departed this life on August 11, 2023. George was affectionately known as Rusty. Rusty was a son, brother, father, uncle, paw paw, and friend to those he loved. With a host of siblings, he was the youngest boy of Shirley Ann Moorman and George “Buddy “Wiggins. He was born and raised in Charleston, WV. He moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1973, He was the proud dad of Shakeya, Jordan, Tyreik, and stepson Lamont, but Rusty was a wise counsel to all he encountered. He loved the Cleveland Browns. He was an avid outdoorsman who could be found with a fishing pole in his truck and ready to be one with nature whenever he felt ready.

He was also known to give you the shirt off his back if needed. He loved music and fishing, but most of all, he loved his family. He worked in brick masonry and construction trades and had a gift for working on cars. He was known as your favorite backyard mechanic. He was a jack of all trades. If you needed something, he had it. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Ann Moorman and George Wiggins; grandson Jy’Cere Eddings; sisters Nancy Henderson, Deborah Burton; Christine “Kissy” Wiggins; brothers Thomas Moorman and infant sibling Randy Wiggins. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Shakeya Eddings, Jordan Eddings, Tyreik Eddings, and Lamont Horton; grandchildren Breya Forney, Breyon Eddings, Keyon Morrison, Jayonna Eddings, Jordan Eddings, Jordan Eddings Jr., Jyairr Eddings, Imariona Eddings, Ty’on Eddings, Ty’ona Eddings, Tyreik Eddings Jr., Andre Horton III, Ty’Keece Dondasse, Oziah Horton; siblings Alice Ingram, Paul Moorman, Philip Moorman, Renee (Frank) Burton, Cheryl (Buttons) Martin, Kay Wiggins, Gail (Eric) Dulaney; his honey Diane Willis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his special bruh-in-law. A-One-Since-Day-Ones, Jeff Duguid, George Harper, Adam Jordan, Mark Berkley, and Donald “Buck” Courts; his special bruh-in-law, Frank Burton; and hostĀ of nieces, nephews and cousins.
