Ibraheem Rashid Beleal, age 49 was born on October 24, 1971 to the union of Ameer Hassan Beleal and Virginia Leigh Smith Beleal Gatewood in Buffalo, New York. He passed this life on January 7, 2021. He moved to Mansfield, Ohio at a young age, moved to Cleveland in his teens, then moved back to Mansfield to graduate with the class of 1990 from Mansfield Senior High School. He later resided in Columbus, Ohio where he met and married his beautiful wife Tamika L. Maxwell

Rashid was a United States Army Veteran who served as a past member of the Army National Guard. He was employed by Ohio Health of Columbus, Ohio.

Although he had no children, he was known as Uncle “Shid” to his nieces, nephews, and those whom He adopted as such. He enjoyed comic books, anime, and was very much into the martial arts. He especially enjoyed the company of his beloved dog Roscoe.

He is survived by special family members who he resided with during his senior year, Anne (Auntie Mama) Hilliard, Donel and Deshon Hilliard; mother-in-law: Genary (Melvin) Maxwell; sister-in-law: Alisa (Antonio) Stokes; aunts: Lizzie and Charlene Petty; uncle: Charles Petty; great uncle: Herbert Hilliard, Sr., two nieces, two nephews, one great niece: Best Friend Geoffrey Gray and other extended family members, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, maternal and paternal grandparents, and the love of his life, wife Tamika Maxwell Beleal.

Rashid’s memories will live on in each of our hearts.

PRIVATE Visitation 9:30 AM and Funeral Service 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

A MASK AND TICKET IS MANDATORY.
