Jeffery Robert Skipper was born, February 10, 1959 to Darlene Skipper and Robert Clemons.

Jeffery departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the tender age of 63 at OSU after fighting with cancer and kidney failure.

He married Cynthia on June 18, 1977. He joined the United States Army at the age of 16 where he received GED. He served 8 years in the Army. He was a very hard worker and always provided for his family and the kids. He was the oldest of 4 children.

He was a very dedicated and wonderful, husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle. He is affectionately known by his family and friends as “Skip” or “Jazzy”. Jeff loved the kids. He was the father and uncle that all of the kids wanted to be with. He was known as the cool neighborhood uncle. Jazzy always made sure the kids had the best time with him. Jeff was an adamant dog lover as well.

Anyone who knew Skip, knew he loved to eat good food and was a grill master.

Jeff was a big Raiders and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He loved to watch all types of sports, even NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his father; Robert Clemons, father and mother in laws; Raymond and Ola Brooks, brother; Alan Jones, brother in laws; Charles “Tony” Brooks and Andrew “Boot” Williams, cousins; Kevin Fisher, Keith Moore and Morse Fisher, nephew; Raymond “Keith” Davis, dogs; Ray-Ray and Chica.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife; Cynthia Skipper, mother; Darlene Skipper, son; Jeffery (Tanna) Skipper, daughter; Ebony (Bryan) Skipper, granddaughters; Tatiyana Skipper and Zariyah Vereen, sisters; Rochelle Skipper and Michelle Jones, special cousins; Phillip and Lori Fisher, special friends; Brian and Cassey Hodnett, great nieces; Audree and Riley, great nephews; Kaleb and Mahlik, dogs; Stink, Coco, Escobar and Nico. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
