Karen Rogers-Reed

karenimage

Karen Rochelle Rogers Reed, daughter of the late Charles M. Rogers Sr. and the late Marjorie E. Williams was born 56 years ago in Portsmouth, Ohio. She transitioned from this life on January 30, 2022.

Karen is a graduate of Portsmouth High School in 1984. She is known by her quiet personality, gentle manner, bright smile, and a Big Loving heart. She cared deeply about others. All children regardless of their age they were her baby. She spoiled the children so much, and you had to love her because she showed so much love. Karen loved her family and would let you know it in so many ways.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed especially the kind words of encouragement she has given everyone. She has taught all young people to be independent, to believe in themselves, trust God, be kind to one another, and love one another. She will be missed, and we love so much. We know that you are now with the rest of the family in heaven. We will be striving to make sure that we will be able to meet you there in God’s time.

Karen was preceded in death by both her parents, Charles M. Rogers Sr. and Marjorie E. Williams; sister, Darlene Rogers Crawford; brothers, Charles M. Rogers Jr. and Charles Edward Rogers.

Karen leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children, Marjorie Rogers, Vaneisha Reed, and Ashanti Reed of Columbus Ohio. She also leaves a husband, Leo Reed; sister, Tenice Rogers; nephews, James F. Rogers, Christopher Rogers, and Phillip Maxon of Columbus Ohio, Terrell Rogers of Portsmouth Ohio, and Robert M. Rogers of South Shore Ky; nieces, Tyeshia Maxon Rogers and Ciera Rogers of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Kiona Rogers of Worthington, Minnesota; special aunts, Gloria Barnes and Jacqueline Henley; and a host of family and friends.

Karen will be forever missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
