Juno Staples, 59, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at home after a brief illness.

He was born June 11, 1956 in Mansfield, Ohio, to Ernest and Ruby Staples. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School 1974 and played on the basketball team. Juno served in the USMC, and attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, OK.

Juno had a very social and outgoing personality and was known for his sense of humor. He was a funny, loving man that could make you laugh with either his words or actions. Juno, had accepted Christ into his life, enjoyed prayer and reading the bible. He not only enjoyed playing chess but was considered an advanced player of the game.  He also enjoyed listening to jazz and was a jazz aficionado. He loved to celebrate all holidays, which allowed him to do another one of his favorite pastimes, cooking.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby Staples, one brother, Reginald Staples of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Carolyn Staples-Henderson of Mansfield, OH, Michelle (Larry) Clemons of Columbus, OH, Beth (Phillip) Bowland of Arlington, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by, his father, Ernest Staples and his aunt, Inez Remmer.

The visitation  at 1 p.m. and homegoing service  at 2 pm Saturday June 4, 2016 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, OH.
