Lamont Anthony Ware Sr., 45, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away suddenly on January 29, 2024, at Ohio State University Hospital. He was a loving son, father, husband, and friend. Born on May 5, 1978, Lamont leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and devotion to his family and friends.

Lamont graduated with an honorable G.E.D. Certificate on September 17, 1998. Lamont, a dedicated employee at AGI Company, spent four years as a forklift driver. He was a man of many talents, with a knack for home repairs and fixing cars. When he wasn’t hard at work, you could find him enjoying his favorite pastimes, such as fishing, listening to music, and cheering on his beloved 49ers and Lakers.

Lamont was dependable, especially when it came down to his mother. If he said he was coming, you knew he would be there. Family was everything to him and he will forever be missed.

Lamont is preceded in death by his father, James Graves Jr.; and grandmother, Barbara Ware.

He is survived by his common law wife of 26 years, Lashana Lawrence; children, Brianna Ware, Lamont Anthony Ware Jr., Aaliyah Ware, Akillah Ware, and TyQuez Lawrence; mother, Debra Ware Graves; grandchildren, TyQuez Walker Lawrence, Zy’Aire Lawrence, Ty’Mire Lawrence, Ty’Liyah Lawrence, My’Liyah Lawrence, and Noh’Mi Lawrence; sister, Keyona Graves (Joseph Sr.); nephew, Joseph Edmonds Jr.; uncle, Michael Ware (Leslie); aunt, Dollean Haromon; special cousin, Jasmine Ware; stepsiblings, Anthong Graves (Freweine), Brandi Graves (Timothy Sr.), Alicia Graves (Rayshawn), and Shanelle Graves (Billy), and a host of cousins, family, and friends.

In this time of grief, let us remember Lamont’s vibrant spirit and the love he shared with all. May his soul find solace and his memory forever bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
