MARBURY,
Lasaunda Marie Marbury, 25, Sunrise October 20, 1988 and Sunset January 25, 2014. Lasaunda was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church where she ministered with the Youth Choir. She loved square dancing and was on the Special Olympics Bowling and Swimming Teams. She was preceded in death by her father John L. Marbury I, brothers John Lewis Marbury II and Jefffrey P. Marbury, grandparents Marjane Lewis and Baker and Zolie Marbury, uncles Roy Marbury, Mike Marbury, Ed Marbury and Donald Lewis and aunt Geraldine Kirby. Left to cherish her memory, mother Rebecca P. Marbury, brothers Gregory L. Marbury and Joshua L. Marbury, grandmother Jessie Watson-Haynes, niece Shonetta Marbury, aunts Alonda Winston, Vonnetta Fountain, Teresa Lewis, Vicki Baily, Kathy Mitchell Valarie Watson, Margaret Marbury, Margaret Toney, Genevie (Arthur) Kyles, uncles Edward Lewis, Gerrod Lewis and Eric Fountain, The Draughon Family, and a host of cousins, other family and friends.

    To the family of Lasaunda Marbury, I wish to send out my heart felt condolences. Lasaunda was an asset to the youth department at Gospel Tabernacle. She loved the Lord and she loved her pastor and her church. She will be missed.

  2. Lasaunda will be missed greatly not only by her immediate family but also her Gospel Tabernacle Family. She has been a faithful member and world traveler to all of the district and general meetings with her last one in Orlando, Florida 2013 at the General BCS&YPHA Convention. She has now taken her final trip to see her Lord and Savior!

She looked for my hug and kiss, and I always looked to find her to get my hug and great big smile from her!! We will cherish her memory.     We are saddened to hear of the homegoing of your precious daughter. We know that she had a most loving and caring mother who gave all she had to make sure Lasaunda's needs were met. Lasaundra enjoyed her church and all other church related functions you saw to that she attended. You have her the best. Be comforted in knowing that she is in the arms of her loving Father who saw that it was time to bring her home. Sorry that we cannot be there to share in her homegoing celebration.
