Lois Johnson, affectionately known as “Cookie”, was born September 16, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio to Saint and the late Cleatrice Johnson. She departed this life on December 9, 2019.

Lois was the fourth child of seven children. She was a very devoted mom to her son Kevin. Lois enjoyed family gatherings and the kids learning her name before anyone else.

Lois accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church under the leadership of her uncle Rev. Joseph Freeman.

Lois received her education through the Columbus Public School system and went to Columbus State Community College.

Lois was employed as a Home Health Care Provider for many years. She was committed to and loved by those she helped.

Lois is preceded in death by mother, Cleatrice Johnson; sister, Trena Johnson; uncles, Willie Ware and Robert Ware; aunts, Patricia and Willa Ware; and grandparents, Milton and Eva Ware.

Lois leaves to cherish her memories, father, Saint Johnson; son, Kevin Johnson; aunts, Landa Cournute and Annie Mae Gardner; brother, John Johnson; sisters, Jacqueline McClain, Delois (Roy) Ray, Madeline (Richard) Rhodes, and Temeca (Adonis) Richardson; special friend, Delano Coleman; nieces and nephews, William Johnson, Jessika Johnson, Clarence (Heather) McClain III, Katrena Johnson, Roy Ray IV, Raymond Sessley, Reginald McClain, Jasmine Johnson, Lazale Richardson, Emmanuel Ray, Jonathan Rhodes, Lalanda and LaVanna Richardson; seven great nieces and five great nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2940 E. 11th Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
