Mary Alice Canada, age 85. She was born April 14, 1936 to John and Agnes Johnson and departed to Heaven August 24, 2021. She was a longtime resident of Mansfield, residing at 283 Cleveland Ave. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Canada Sr and son Harry Canada Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Destry L. Canada; daughters, Pamela Mccoy and Althea (Curkey) Williams; stepdaughter, Paulette Nealy and LaShay Sangster; and countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family and friends. Visitation 10:00am followed by Home Going Service at 11:00am Wednesday September 1, 2021 at Maddox Memorial COGIC 1148 Walker Lake Rd. Mask and Social Distancing are required. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD (formerly Williams Funeral Services) 753 McPherson St.
Words cannot express our deepest sympathy for my cousin Mary Alice. She was a kind and sweet woman and she loved to cook. Gone but never for gotten.. We love her very much.

Not only was she a excellent cook but also had some of the most beautiful flowers in her garden, which was the show case of the Company-Line. I learned a lot from her and her mom, Aunt Kate. You will be missed by us, but God has came and pick this special “Rose” to enhance his garden of Angels. That smile will light up Heaven. Rest In Heaven

My most memorable memories of my great-aunt are sitting at her stove getting my hair pressed as a little girl, bone straight, as only she could! Also her fussing at me for not bringing my babies by to see her as often as she liked. She said it in love, but she meant what she said lol.
