Mary Frances Smith affectionately called Frances, age 74 of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at Mother Angelina McCrory Manor Nursing Home through Mount Carmel Hospice on May 29, 2023. Mary was born on April 26, 1949, in Jenkinjones, West Virginia, to her mother, Willie Peoples.
Mary retired from Westminster Thurber as a nursing assistant. Her hobbies were reading her bible, listening to music, dancing, being with her family whom she loved wholeheartedly and traveling. She loved to laugh and have fun. Her smile was infectious to all that were around her. She was a loyal, kind, warm hearted, giving and loving person. Mary was the type of person that no one was a stranger. She will be deeply missed by her entire family, especially her two sons. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Willie Peoples, husband Willie L Smith, sons Mark L. Smith and Daniel L. Smith, brother Johnny Sherman, cousins Marsha Washington, David Williams and John Peoples and Niece Shawn Jackson. Mary leaves to cherish her memory sons David L. (Kimberly) Smith and Willie L. Smith.

Nephews Antwan Rumley, Anthony Rumley and Curtis Israel and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
