Ms Mattie I want to say Thank You for the love you showed me as a struggling single mother, you were a godsend to me, Ashtyn and Chanelle. I never worried about them when they were in your care ever! I Thank you for your talks when I thought I couldn’t make it with two children, I Thank You for the gas money you willing gave me when I would pull up on fumes to pick them up, I Thank You for the food you always had ready to eat for everyone that stepped thru your door! I’m so glad I stopped by to see you last year to let you know I hadn’t and will never forget you!!! I will always love you. Connee

Mrs Mattie was a true blessing to this world, always giving love, understanding, compassion, help to everyone. Mrs. Mattie wasn’t just my babysitter but she was a second mother to me. She was there to care for my kids in my time of dyer need for a babysitter, when I needed a place to stay and transportation, she gave me access to her vehicle for my needs. She will truly be missed, Her door was open to everyone, and my kids and I thank God for her opening her door to us, she and Mr Brown were truly my rock.

In memory of sis Mattii Brown I enjoyed being IN the services with her at New Haven church I always enjoyed her testimonies because she was firm and did not sugar coat the word Evette and the family have my prayers and just know that she is in the presence of the Lord

“Mama” Brown you will ALWAYS be missed. I truly appreciate all that you have done for me and my family. Your love has been unlimited with opened arms whenever I needed you. There are so many years of memories that just brings me joy thinking about it.

Even as a child, I can remember coming over your house before school, when you feed all the neighborhood kids breakfast. I can still remember eating your homemade biscuits and country bacon. We would be so content eating that we would almost miss the bus. It got so bad that eventually the school had to move the bus stop from the corner by the house to up the street so we couldn’t wait there anymore. Although that didn’t stop you, you would still sometimes catch me walking to the bus stop and would send me with a whole pan of biscuits to share with the other kids. That’s just a small insight of your love that will always be embedded with me forever. Thank you for all the long talks and prayers. Much love, Jessica

  5. Momma B., I know you’re looking down on us, but I would like to thank you for the love, patience, and understanding that I gathered from you.I love, and miss you so much, but GOD needed you more.I cry daily, but I know you are at peace, I will see you when I get there, Love Son

  6. Momma B., this is truly difficult for me.I think about you daily, and cherish the memories, the love, the patience, and the respect , that you gave me. Although, I cry daily, I know you’re smiling down.I thanks GOD forall these past years, and I will see you when I get there. Always, Son

  7. Ms Mattie, thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Taking care of me and my sister when we were young and even into our preteen days. When I first started driving you were one of the first people I visited. And I came to see you a lot. Will never forget our 8 hour talks. Or even the advice you gave me on relationships, marriage, friends, and most importantly your stories of motivation. As I got older you really became a bestfriend to me. I could always talk to you about anything. You never judged me just gave me advice and told me your look on things. Didn’t wanna believe this. Drove passed your house a lot. But no doubt in my mind that your with Jesus. And your most definitely at your happiest. I love you so much . Thank you for everything.

Ms Mattie is one of the greatest people I have ever known. She cared for my four sons and made a great impact on my life and the life of hundreds of others. My sons had such respect for her. She always uplifted me whenever I spoke to her. She is a woman of great faith and is walking glory right now. I pray God gives the family peace and comfort

    Ms. Mattie,
Thank you for the times we shared. I remember you would take us driving around the city then when you got a new car we took it driving as well. I remember I tried pig feet for the first time at your house. We would spend the night and have a guess I could say Karaoke sessions with our fake mikes singing “Always and forever” and a slew of other songs. Thank you for your loving kindness and you will forever be missed Heaven got a angel this day
