Misty Reid

ReidMisty

Misty D. Reid was born December 21, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio. She is the only child from Brenda Reid and Paul Everett. She was raised in the Columbus area and attended Walnut Ridge Columbus public school. Misty began her work career early as a teenager where she was a faithful and dedicated worker at Church’s Chicken franchise. Later she continued to be a valued employee at Columbus Fair Auto Auction for nearly a decade.

Misty’s greatest job was being a mother to her four children. Malina, Mi’Kayla, Jaleel and Jerome were her pride and joys. Misty enjoyed spending quality time, helping with school work, and cooking for her kids while singing and dancing in the kitchen. She shared her love of watching wrestling with her sons and reality TV shows with the daughters. Misty loved snapping photos of the kids and sharing small pieces of their lives on social media.

Misty enjoyed spending time with and attending various family gatherings of birthdays, holidays, and celebrations where there was always a camera nearby to capture the memories. Misty spoke with her father on a daily basis and always provided updates on her life and the kids, as requested. She stayed connected with her mother as well.

Misty smiled down from heaven as she watched her first born child graduate high school at Groveport Madison class of 2021. She will continue to watch down over her children as they progress and accomplish various milestones and other life goals in the future. Misty will remain in the hearts of her surviving family and friends.

Misty is preceded in death by her grandmother Winona Josephine Reid step-mother, Phyllis Everett and brother in law, Ben Croom. Those left to cherish Misty’s memory are her loving children, mother and father, sisters Deborah F. Everett-Croom and Lisa (Troy) Robinson, mother figure Jackie Baker, close friend Jakiya Jackson, her aunt Johanna Troxler, Uncle Glen Reid and a host of other  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
