Curtis Wayne Burks, age 54 Sunrise March 15, 1965 in Welch, West Virginia and Sunset Friday, September 20, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio at The Ohio State James Cancer Hospital.

He graduated from Columbus West High School in 1984. Curtis was previously employed at Ohio State for 10 years. He was currently employed at Cap and Associates. Curtis lived a hard working successful life.
He loved having friends and family gatherings, he also loved video games, fishing, cooking, playing horse shoes, and having the fellas over to watch the game. He was one of the best to throw a kickback. He was loved and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by parents Edward C. Hughes and Annie Cecilia Burks, brother Michael Burks, nephew Antony Sowell, and his daughter Angel Tatum.

He leaves to cherish his memory; sisters Toni, Marion, Margaret, and Lisa Burks, brother Jimmy Burks, son Curtis, Mike, Chris, Jodeci, Tatum, and Donald, and mother of all his children, Debra Tatum, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
