Elaine Burnette Filmore’s sunrise was on April 12, 1935 in Columbus, OH and sunset in the same location on February 11, 2023.
Elaine attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from East High School. She went on to marry Robert T. Filmore, who passed in 2013. They were married 62 years and she has now returned to Robert in spirit. Elaine worked over 50 years as a Medical Technician in several hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. She performed the very tedious but profoundly important job of being a Medical Transcriptionist until she retired.
She was known for sharing her home and time with her grandchildren, friends and family and she will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her immediate family, parents; Romie and Nettie Becker, brothers; James Becker, “Skip” Becker and sister; Georgetta Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 + years; Robert T. Filmore who passed February 23, 2013.
Left to cherish her memory, her 3 children; Robin (Alfred) Pannell Jr., Mereda Filmore, and Brent (Dana) Filmore, grandchildren; Brenton and Tyron Bogan, Brittany, Branddie and Branddon Filmore, Robert A. (Scarlet) Filmore, Miracle Pannell, James and Krissie Filmore, Donald Jr., Brian and Crystal Ratliff, great grandchildren; Jaylen and Jamiah Bogan, Mya Filmore and Robert M. and Monroe Filmore, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Elaine will be dearly missed by everyone.
