To Mayor Coleman and family, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your b beloved matriarch. She was a beautiful and kind lady, and a fighter who spoke truth to power for many years. Her indelible legacy will be keenly felt in the insurmountable amount of lives she undoubtedly touched. Please take solace in the fact that your mother is now resting in the arms of Jesus, in that land of milk of honey, where it is always “howdy howdy” and never “goodbye”.

  5. To the entire family of one loved and honored may the love of God substain each and everyone and mend the broken hearted.

She was a tremendous help to me when one of my beauty salons was robbed , we became even closer after that, I would periodically go be her office to she her when ever I was downtown, as busy as she was shed always stop what ever she was doing and see me her advice over the years was priceless she would always end our visits with a hug and a stern behave yourself. There was only one Joan Coleman and I will never forget her. I unfortunately have a medical procedure Friday and regrettably can’t be there. Other than that I definitely would have come to pay my respects to this wonderful woman. ❤️

I had the pleasure of spending a great deal of time with Joan while working at her retirement home. I always enjoyed spending time with her, taking her on outings and cracking jokes as we passed each other in the hall.
I just learned of her passing and I’m heartbroken. She was such a great friend.
