Oran M. “Blue” Lewis

Oran was born to James Lewis and Regina Lott in Havaco, West Virginia on May 17,1951 and passed away peacefully on July 30, 2021 at the age of 70 after a long battle with cancer at Violet springs Health Campus Pickerington, Ohio. He accepted Christ at a early age at Smyrna Baptist Church.

His family moved to Columbus, Ohio while he was still young where he received his education through Columbus Public School System he loved to skate, DJ and work on cars but most of all his passion was riding his motorcycle.

Oran proudly served in the US Army in Fort Braggs, NC where he received the National Medal for Defense and Parachute Badge of Honor upon leaving the military. He became the founder of Blue’s Elite Motorcycle and Social Club which he served for many years before retiring. In 2000 he received  his 33rd degrees of  Master of Masonic with the Travis Lodge  # 56 of Columbus Ohio of the AF. and A.M constituted under a charter from the Most Worshipful Benevolent Grand Lodge of the State of Ohio. While serving until his passing, Oran rode proudly as a Police Escort for many family and friends. 

He is preceded in by his father James Lott, his brother Herbert Robertson, and his son Tyrone Miller. 

He was survived in death by Mother: Regina Lott, Children: Tameka(Marlon) Elliott, Tyra Lewis  Tajuana Lewis-Woods, Tylesha Patterson, Timothy Lewis, Tawayne (Madison) Lewis, Martin “Marty” Patterson and: Sister Karmen(Michael)Hillman and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

For everyone who knows dad he loved his family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Capital City Hospice of Columbus Ohio and Violet Springs Health Campus in Pickerington, Ohio for all the support and assistance they provided in his final days.

Family will receive friends Thursday August 12th, 2021 from 12pm to 1pm for viewing and services from 1pm to 2pm at Smyrna Baptist Church 1650 Wilson Ave Columbus, Ohio 43207 and Repast will be to follow from 2pm to 5pm at Joss Ross Life Center 907 Lexington Ave Columbus, Ohio 43201.

Oran will be escorted to the Dayton National Military Cemetery on August 13th, 2021. 

Arrangements are being provided by Marlan Gary Funeral Home, Chapel Of Peace 5456 E Livingston Ave Columbus, Ohio 43232.

    Blue you helped me in the lost of my husband Childsplay, not more than three months ago I was so grateful you and Blues Elite took care of me and my family when we lost childsplay God bless you family when traveling with my husband and the club and our limousine state to state city to city those two often talked about when they get up there they would ask God if they could start a social club,,,, I guess so.
