Patricia Ann Clayton Anderson was born in Washington D.C. to Vernell and Beatrice Clayton on January 19, 1945. She married Theodore Victor Anderson, Sr. on March 4, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio. She went to school for Cosmetology and for many years she was a hair stylist. For over 32 years, Patricia and Theodore were foster parents. They fostered over 100 children and provided a warm and loving home for them. Due to their community service they received countless awards. Not only was Patricia a mother and a foster parent, she was a mother to many and opened her home to the children in the neighborhood. She was also a minister, prayer warrior, Sunday school teacher, organist, piano player, seamstress, interior designer, and gardener just to name a few. She was loved and adored by many.
Patricia is preceded in death by her late husband, Theodore V. Anderson, Sr., her parents Vernell and Beatrice Clayton, her brother, Allen Clayton, grandson Emmanuel Anderson, bonus children Shawn Bynum and Jennifer Woods and countless of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and others.
Patricia is survived by her son George Clayton, daughter Tracee Clayton Garrett and son-in-law Mark Garrett, daughter Inell and son-in-law Michael Carter, daughter Jewell Anderson and Shawn Bryson and her brother, John Wayne Clayton.
Her grandchildren Chanell Smith, Halston “Tru” Clayton, Jazmine Clayton, Joshua Anderson, Chavis Sibert, Alexis Anderson, DaTa Martin, TyLee Martin, Mark Garrett Jr, Braden Garrett, and Myles Garrett.
Her many great grandchildren, Carlton “Trey” Travis, Caleb Travis, Kingston Sibert, Jalaya Anderson, Tahaan Sibert, Carter Smith, Joshua “Ace” Anderson, Jr., Cheyanne Sibert, Liam Smith, Tristian Anderson and Violet Hall.
Her bonus children Stephanie Anderson, Victor Anderson and Crystal Cain and their children and great grandchildren.
And other close family members Reggie and Debbie Steele and Theresa Pope. Her dearest and closest friends Christy Taylor, Ruby Herron, Louise Thomas, Ava Johnson and Antonietta Johnson.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Memorial Service 10:30 AM Friday, June 3, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).

    Was one of a kind, she was fashionable, a spiritual saint, a wife, a mom, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a great friend. Pat had many gifts, she was an interior designer, a stylist, a prophetess and an encourager. Pat we will miss you so much but I know you’re in the hands of our loving savior and reunited with your family and we’ll see you at our appointed time.
