Rhonda Carol (Haley) Cochran was born March 23, 1952 to Clarence and Anita Haley in Beckley, West Virginia. The family moved to Cincinnati in 1953. While growing up in Cincinnati Rhonda spent most of her childhood with family and friends. To family and friends she was known as “Rhonda Carol or supercat”. She spent a lot of time with Diane and Vickie. She had lasting friendship with Angie and Betty. Rhonda also helped raise her siblings. Rhonda would always ride with her dad to go visit her many cousins and aunts and uncles.

Rhonda’s junior year in high school, Anita Mae moved her and her siblings to Columbus. That’s where her baby brother Gary Brian was born. She helped her mom look after him. Rhonda attended and graduated from Eastmoor High School. After high school she worked many jobs. Wasn’t long when she met the love of her life Lance Cochran. They married January 18, 1974. From their love they had two beautiful daughters Laina & Lisa Cochran. To family they were called little Lance and little Rhonda.

Rhonda loved to smile, laugh, talk and spend time with family and friends. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles in pen. She loved to watch HGTV, murder mysteries and jeopardy, play cards, and she was always listening to music. Rhonda went to every school or sports event for her kids. When grandchildren came along she wanted to be called “meme”. She loved her grandchildren and was always there for whatever they may need. The last 30 years she worked at Butler, Cincione, DiCuccio Law office where she met some wonderful co-workers that became long-time friends.

Condolence Messages

  1. Bernard Abdul Aleem AKA Lee

Sending my deepest condolences to her dear family and friends!
Sometimes it seems like just yesterday we were young teens hanging, laughing, dancing, and just enjoying our youth. In truth I know now, we were destined to gait the earth in diverse directions, face different challenges, fanout into whomever our Lord willed to send; yet I pray we kept the good that we were way back then. Rhonda was one of the best of the social seed we unfolded from. We shall miss her down here; but still we celebrate her rise. I pray the Peace of Allah forever be upon her, His Unmatched Mercy and His Never-Ending Blessings.
If I could speak up for her, I would say “job well done Rhonda. Rest up in Highest Paradise forever now”. Ameen.
