Rickey LaDell Dale was born January 29, 1956, in Winnsboro Louisiana, to the late Cliff and Mary Dale. Rickey moved to San Francisco California with his mother when he was just a young boy. As a young adult, Rickey relocated on his own to his permanent residence of Columbus Ohio. It wasn’t too long after arriving to this new city, that he would meet his lifelong partner and future wife, Julia “Judy” Dale. Rickey and Judy would raise their 2 daughter Kimico “Kip” and Joy and remained married until his passing, a total over 40 years.
Rickey’s favorite things to do included fishing, cooking, watching sports, he loved his San Francisco 49ers, and listening to his oldies but goodies on full blast.
Rickey leaves to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Julia [Dunlap] Dale; daughters, Kimico Dale and Joy (Marbury) Norah; grandchildren, Jowaun T. Dale, Rayshawn T. Norah Jr, Niyana R.M. Norah, Douglas A. Patterson Jr, Jayshawn A.N. Norah, Dominic A. Patterson, and Dimitrius A. Patterson; sisters, Maria A. Dale, Alisa Newson, and Christina “Nina” Dale, and cousin, Azeez Akbar; and a host of other relatives and friends.
