SeRita Maria Henry, age 46 went home to be with our Lord on March 9, 2021.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe L. Anthony, Sr., Herman R. Napier, William and Dorothy Ingram and niece, Mireya Perkins.

 

SeRita accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a very young age.

 

She is survived by her loving husband who was the love of her life, Eric J. Henry. Her parents Joe L. Anthony, Jr., and Berndeana (Brian) Dean, Grandmother’s Lena Cummings and Rena Anthony, brother’s Joe (Danielle) L. Anthony, III, Norman R. Heilig, III, Jamar Anthony and sister Ryan (Michael) Perkins. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are nephews, D’Marco, Qadry, Kai, Alex, and Alijah, nieces, Halle, Myree, Imonne, Jhayanna, Breija Maria, Layla and Sophia and a host of Aunts Uncles, and cousins and special friend and sister-in-law, Michaela Anthony. Also Frank and Mary Henry, her second parents who took very good care of her while she was in Wooster, Ohio for so many years.

 

SeRita was an active member of Christian Assembly where she played the flute and participated in the youth ministry. She was also a member of the Usher board and sang in the choir. In recent years, she was a member of Heartland Christian Center under the fellowship of Pastor James Sustar.

 

SeRita graduated from Westerville North High School in 1992 and later obtained an Associate’s Degree at a Computer Technology Institute. She was an avid Dolphins and Notre Dame fan as well as a soccer enthusiast. She often talked about her fond memories of visiting Montana with her husband, siblings Joe and Ryan, niece and nephews in hopes of one day returning.

 

She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

 

 

 

 

 

Private Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.

  5. Condolences to the family.I was housekeeper at Glendora,,,so sorry to hear of her passing! May God be with you during this difficult time.I cleaned her room while she’s at breakfast,and helped move her belongings to West side.
