Tommie L. Dean Jr., also known as Little Dean, passed from life to death on March 8, 2021. He was born to the parents of late Tommie L. Dean Sr., and Pearl Dean on January 5, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Columbus Public Schools.

Tommie’s great love was cooking. He worked as a chef in different restaurants throughout the city.

Tommie was the seventh of ten siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Dean Sr., and Pearl Dean; beloved daughter, Tammica Carter; grandmother, Lucille Elliott Wingate; sisters, Linda Gray and Jean Dean; and brothers, Larry Gray and Donald Gray.

Tommie is survived by his two daughters, Tirita Carter (Columbus, OH) and Tanisha Ford-Bey (Philadelphia, PA); ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Howard, Steve, and Michael; two sisters, Toni and Lucittia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Tommie will be forever missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Visitation 1:00pm and Memorial Service 2:00pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
