
Troy Shawn Almanson, age 55, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Avita Hospital in Galion, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Troy was born May 12, 1968, to Isoleen Almanson-Dunn and Henry Dawson Jr. He grew up in Crestline and Mansfield, Ohio. He attended school in Crestline and Mansfield. While attending Madison High, he trained in Electrics and received a certificate for welding and was certified.
Troy is survived by his mother and step father, Isoleen and John Dunn; his sons, Troy Anthony (Columbus, OH) and D’Shawn (Arizona); his sister, Perrise Chapman of Atlanta, GA and brother, Eddie Davis; uncles & aunts, Gary Almanson, Tracy Murphy, Janice Almanson, and Ethel Jean Almanson; His grandmother and grandfather, Grace and Kenneth Almanson, preceded him passing; Also great grand mother and father, Arbee Frank Knox and uncles, Roy and Norman Almanson.
He will be missed by family and friends.

My friend I am so sorry for your loss you have my deepest sympathy Almanson/Dunn family.We were not just friends we were family I don’t care how much time passed we would always pick up where we left off. I remember the group we sang in together at Greater St John it was Me, You, John Dunn, Waltman, Michelle Lewis, and Chip Goines. I met Troy in the nursing home, I visited with him, and found him to be a well mannered gentleman, I thank God for the opportunity to visit with Troy. Love you all to life

Aww Troy I have no words, I’m gonna miss you my friend , I’m so glad we were able to have dinner together a couple wks ago. You were doing so good, I definitely didn’t expect this. Ms Isoleen: Thank you for thinking of me. Troy and I missed out on the opportunity ok knowing each other, but I still cried when I was told of his passing.
