Tyree Jamarr Mitchell returned to the arms of the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Tyree was born Thursday, May 10, 1979 in Columbus, Ohio to Sharlene and Arnold Mitchell.

Lover of music, dancing, and making people smile. A natural born entertainer whose goal in life was to create happiness for those around him. He loved his family more than anything and held an unwavering loyalty to those he was close to.
Tyree graduated from Eastmoor High School in 1997 and was a member of the varsity football team since his freshman year. He was named best dancer his senior year after his fellow classmates took notice of his MC Hammer inspired moves.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anderson Mitchell Sr., Franklin “Frank” Platt, Anna Mae Mitchell-Harris, and Catherine Platt; uncles, Dwight Mitchell, Anderson “AJ” Mitchell, and George Platt; aunts, Irene Platt, Barbara “Barb” Clark, Patricia “Patty” Newsome, and Helen Duncan; bonus son, Brandyn Allen; and a host of cousins.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two children, Taiseana and Tahlil Mitchell; bonus children, Destiny and Jazmyn Fields; grandchildren, Amiya Jones and Khari Patton; parents, Sharlene and Arnold Mitchell; sisters, Monica Madden (Edward) and Brandy (Allyn) Jones; nieces, Jayla Madden, Zoe Jones and Isabella Jones; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will hold him close in their hearts for as long as they live.

Though we feel his time with us was too short, we find solace in knowing that he’s now at peace and residing in the company of the Lord and his loved ones.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

  1. Tiffany Colquitt

I was blessed to know you for just 6 short months, but the impact have u left on my heart will last forever. You challenged me, taught me, tested me, and made me prove myself worthy of trust. Finally, you accepted me and slowly opened carefully selected pieces of your heart to share me. I will remember your laughter and your smile every time the sunshines. Truly, you will always be my Beautiful Nightmare…this is one nightmare I wish I could wake up from…but, I believe you are at peace. You have no more pain to wrestle with or try to hide. You Are Free Now, Fly High!!

Family, your strength has been remarkable in the midst of this most difficult time. My prayers are with each of you. May the love, grace, peace and joy of The Lord continue to comfort each of you.

    Sincerely,
    Tiffany
