Vansel M. Hollingsworth

Vansel M. Hollingsworth Jr. was born on September 21, 1976 in Columbus Ohio to Nita Poole and Vansel Stephens Sr.

Vansel relocated to Chillicothe Ohio and then back to Columbus, Ohio where he resided until the time of his passing. Vansel went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2023.

Vansel attended Columbus City Schools. He later relocated to Chillicothe, Ohio where he attended another Chance Ministries, then Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Troy Gray. In 2019, he found his home church, New Generation Church under the leadership of Pastor Maurice Jackson. Vansel remained a member until the time of his passing.

Vansel was preceded in death by stepfather, Arthur Aaron Poole and grandmother, Juanita Hollingsworth.

Vansel leaves to cherish his precious memories, daughter, La’Tasha Hollingsworth-Parks; mother, Nita Poole; father, Vansel Stephens Sr.; uncle, Lonnie Hollingsworth; brothers, Cedric Hollingsworth, Delmenio (Precious) Hollingsworth, Delbert Hollingsworth, and Stevie Stephens; sisters, Hestina Hollingsworth, Lanitra Hollingsworth, Tammy Gibbs, and Tracy (Alioune) Kane; siblings, Tomika Greathouse, Antonio Greathouse, Melissa Austin, Diea Farmer, and Dominic Bland; special family/friends, Stephan Brown, Theresa Burke, and Joan Reid; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Vansel will be truly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at New Generation Church, 1173 Essex Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
