Vivian Carol Jamison, age 84 departed this life in the comforts of her own home, surrounded by her family on October 31, 2023.

Vivian was born July 6, 1939 in Dayton, OH to Horton L. Clark Jr. and Ruby Grays Clark. She graduated from Roosevelt High school. She was united in marriage on December 31, 1959 to John W. Jamison from Welch, WVA and from this union two sons were born.

She was known throughout the community for her devotion to her family and friends.

She was Administrator at the former Columbus State Institute of Mental Retardation from 1964 to 2004 where she then retired. She came out of retirement and started at job at Columbus School Board from 2007 to 2012 where she worked at Clearbrook School. She also retired from the School Board. She was a long time member of Grace Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Willie Jamison of 47 years; her mother Ruby Grays Clark and father Horton Leon Clark Jr.; one brother Phillip Clark.

She leaves to mourn her absence and sweet memories, her two sons Richard DeWayne Jamison and Rodney Lynn (Laurie) Jamison; three Grandsons Johnathan, Nathan and Markus; two Granddaughters Danielle and Shawnta; fourteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Simone) Clark, Melvin (Shirley) Clark, Johnny (Cynthia) Clark; one sister Marian (Leon) Cook; her extended children Billy Pruitt, Jerome Ray and Ricardo Allen and other special sons and daughter; a host of nieces, and nephews; a grand host of Grandchildren that she helped raised; and she special caregiver and niece Anna Caper. She loved them all.
