Wilma sanders was born August 7, 1941. She went home to be with the lord on December 6, 2021, at 8:45 am.

Wilma was born and raised in Louisville, Ky, and attended Fern Creek High school.
Wilma gave her life to Christ and was Baptized in Jesus name when she was eight years old. She received the Holy Ghost at the age of seventeen and was called to ministry at the age of eighteen. Wilma last served as the Assistant Pastor to Dr Mamie Wilson.

Wilma moved to Columbus, Ohio on December 20, 1969, where she attended the Nationwide Beauty Academy. She graduated and passed the State Board exam to become a Professional Cosmetologist. Her true passion was writing, and she published an autobiography titled The Marriage God Put Back Together. Above all, Wilma was a loving mother, devoted wife, and caring sister.

Wilma is preceded in death by her husband John R Sanders. Parents Wilbur C. Simms, Luvenia Porter and Mother-in-Law Mary Lilly. Siblings Juanita Bell, Bernard (Bunny) Simms, Anna Sophronia (Fronie) Bell, Ernest (Pap) Simms, Willie (Sugarman) Simms. Brother-in-Laws Michael Bell and David Bell, Nephew Raymont Bell and grandson Jacob Jolly.

Wilma leaves to cherish her memories her sister Ernestine Thompson. Children Helen (John) Myers, JaRonda Grant, Donna (Joe) Jolly, Keith (Renee) Sanders, LaWarren (Shirley) Taylor and Curtis Taylor. Wilma also has 24 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Apostolic Faith Temple, 1634 E; Main St. Mask and Social Distancing are required. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery. To, helen , jaronda, keith,and donna we are all so very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and our dear friend sister wilma, we were in touch with her during the loss of our mom sis joyce greene of Louisville, Ky, recently, october 2021. i did not get a chance to speak to her but , danetta did. she was the one who lead mom to christ ,and then us. her and mom are looking down on us in perfect peace. and praise god there is no more suffering for them. i know that these are the end times,but god will sustain his people.
