Joe’s life-long pursuits included being a fan of the Cleveland Browns, going fishing and golfing. He claimed to be the “Tiger” of WII golf, as attested to by “special friends” Erv Gunter and Horace “ace” Gunter. Joe’s life was marked by another special friend, the late Raymond Johnson

He leaves for comfort in prayer, wife Lori Smith, son Joe Louis Whitfield III, daughters Ashley and Jasmine, mothers of his children Anita Webb and Nicole (Eric) Wolford, granddaughter Charlotte Whitfield, sibling Shonda L. Mother Shardine Jane Whitfield is still dearly missed (2012) by her children and grand-children. Oh, that she had been known by all her great grandchildren.

Thank you, Lord for your comfort in this time of grief. Order now, our steps too toward eternal rest.
