Celebration of Life: Helen Marie Dean

Helen Marie Dean, a beloved member of Trinity Baptist Church and retired Food Service Manager at The Ohio State University, will be honored and celebrated for her remarkable life and spirit. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Helen was one of five children, known for her love of music and her impeccable sense of style. She took pride in her work, dedicating many years to serving the college community with warmth and care.

Throughout her life, Helen cherished her family deeply, finding joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. She was a loving wife to Richard Dean, a devoted mother to Sharon Foster,Mary A. Foster, and Alex David( Shawna) Foster, her bonus children Richard, Shavonne and Tony Dean Helen shared a special bond with her brothers Donald (Kathy) Williams and Robert Lee West, and her sisters Diane R. (Ronald) West-Thrweatt and Robin Olivia (Rudolph) Rogers, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sister in law Martha (Billie) Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Porter and Mary Jamison, daughter Janice Marie Beidleman, grandson, Brandon Beidleman and sisters in law Hattie Malone and Mary Lee Ferguson.

Visitation 12:00 noon and Funeral Service 1:00pm Saturday February 24, 2024 will take place at Trinity Baptist Church 461 St. Clair Ave.

Helen’s unwavering love and spirit will be forever remembered, and her memory will be a beacon of joy and inspiration to all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, there will be a cremation ceremony on February 26, 2024, marking the transition of her spirit to a place of eternal peace.

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Helen Marie Dean, a woman who touched the hearts of many and left a lasting imprint on those she encountered.

I remember am I younger years at Trinity her and her mother were two of the most stylish women they would fall into Trinity, looking like $1 million it went with Helen smile. Her smile was $1 million. My choir friend I will miss seeing you, but you have gained your wings rest in peace.
