Reuben S. Woods

Ruben woods was born December 29, 1958. He was called home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2024.

Ruben was the light that never dimmed, the reason the world shined so bright. His personality, love, strength, and courage were just a few of the qualities that made Ruben the man he was.

Ruben loved fishing, cooking, sports and spending time with family. Once you got him fishing, there was no way he was leaving without catching a cooler full.

Ruben was a family man and completed his family when he met the love of his life, Pamela Giles. Ruben enjoyed time with his siblings, family and mostly enjoyed raising his eight children.Ruben was the life of every party, welcomed everyone with open arms and was filled with so much wisdom. He always knew just what to say.

Ruben is preceded in death by his son, Ruben S. Henderson; parents, Fannie and Ruben Woods; brothers, Clarence Barnett, James Woods, Joseph Woods; sister, Sharon Walker.

Ruben will be sorely missed and leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted significant other of 33 years, Pamela Giles; sisters, Jackie (Woods) Baker, Margaret Pace; brothers, Frankie (Sara) Posey, Darcy (Deborah) Jones; children, Zontel Johnson, Tlyswana Henderson, Ebony (Marcus) Reynolds Spivey, Unique Woods, Ruben Henderson, Dejuan Giles, Lamonii Woods, Taness Giles, Rieco Henderson, Joel (Alex) Diyanni; 35 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 life long friends, Gary Skeaton, Joseph Copeland; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; special nephew, Pedro (Lil Pep) Pace; favorite niece, Ishi Stidoms Williams; favorite nephew, Big Pep

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
